Mercedes A class w168 after change cluster fuel gauge not working

Hi,
Mechanic open cluster and broke lcd. I put another cluster from the same car A170 and year but different number and all works OK except fuel gauge. I read eprom from original dash mcu hc912d60 and program second but the same problem. Seller said that cluster works ok.
original : A 168 540 2247 Q1
bought: A 168 540 8711 Q1
Flash in mcu?

I change mcu from old to new and the same problem with fuel gauge

Most likely the gauge motor gears inside are off track

Have you put a scantool on it to see if the proper signal is getting to the cluster? It might be a dead fuel level sender and not even a cluster problem.

i have two cluster, original with lcd broken and working all ok and second cluster with lcd ok and all working gauge without fuel gauge. I replace gauge motor and the same. Gauge goes to 0 position and fuel empty lamp shows. On original cluster fuel works perfect.

I need pinout instrument cluster and compare this signal in bouth dash.

I'd bet the motor gears popped apart, even with both happening to them. This has happened to me in past.

lcd is conecting by tape to board so I can;t change only lcd. I don;t have 3M Tape silver to repair original cluster.

Original dash working properly, all gauge works. I need change this cluster because mechanic open it (somebody paint black diode signals oil level) and hi tear off lcd tape.

If you can find fuel sender from the same car you took cluster, you will solve problem. Also, I think there is possibility to do something with star...

I solder once again hc912d60 and fuel works butI think that is small different with original cluster fuel shows about 5L. Client will be testing and I post results.
