Mercedes W204 EIS Key Problem

I have a mercedes W204 car key stop working, i read the eis and key password then make new key no2. when i test the new key, light is on steady from the key and doesnt unlock steering lock, anyone know how to solve this, thanks

Possible faulty key ? the key red light should lihgt up only for one second in the first use when registering
