Image Flash Assistant is for flashing a full image.

The auto update fix only requires 1 file to be replaced and you do this using an FTP program and a crossover ethernet cable.

Image flash Assistant (IFA) is used for flashing a new image, normally when you have a non working / corrupted image on the dbox.

To transfer the files you mention best to use an ftp program like flashFXP and simply ftp ( transfer) the files across.
