1997 Merc W202 C280 Immo

This is going to sound like a dumb question, but here goes...
Have a 1997 C280 that I picked and read the lock, made a blank that will turn the ignition, tried using AVDI to make a chip, didn't work... Pulled lower dash from drivers side of car looking for immo box but can't find it...
Does anyone know where the immo box would be??? Or if the immo data is in the ECU??

I have the flip key... I wish I had the DAS3 key, it would be simple... When you say, show screen, what screen??

Should be IR remote immobiliser then. Need to make a remote to disarm the red and green dancing light. 😃

I assume you are talking about the lights under the mirror, right? They are not lighting up at all... The car had been sitting for a few months with a dead battery.. Any idea if locking and unlocking the passenger door or trunk would shut off the immobilizer? There is a page in AVDI that talks about virginizing the remote...

It is behind the instrument. Read the dump and calculate key with your avdi/fvdi. Write the calculated key dump to the 93c46 in the key. Next step transponder programming, you don't need a dump for transponder programming. Prepare transponder with tagtool or avdi. Then it is selflearning ! Hold the key in direction mirror, push the key button 3 time, make ignition on within 15 seconds. Make ignition off. Now, it should work !!
