I am trying to read ECU on Land Rover defender with Galletto 1260 (Have used this on Discoverys no problem. It won,t connect to ecu? I seem to remember you have to unplug something? Any one point me in right direction..?.. Thanks

I think detail"s of the car are necessary not only on dash Forum !

probably sid208 which require unlocking on bench if i remember right

i have a lot of tuned and dyno tuned files for defenders

No they not SIDs..they the old units and anything decent can read or write them via OBD

what year is the vehicle?
its either sid208, visteon or mems
sid need unlock, dcu102 should be no problem, mems can be read but ive done alot replacing chip off so customers can change themselves.

nnn000120 is flashable over obd
there is nothing needed to be disconnected i used to tune td5's years ago
the 120 ecu is also in the discovery td5s its a manual ecu
try to read it with something else or find out if the software for your galletto 1260 can read anything with the NOREAD tag
maybe defender is allready tuned and has the noread tag (superchips and many others use this tag)
