FRF file - CONTINENTAL PCR2.1

Hey,

I have SIMOS PCR2.1 what is locked.

Since few weeks, CMD changed the procedure to UNLOCK without RESET/BOOT/RESISTORS
Before the new procedure, it was never a problem to UNLOCK the PCR2.1
With the new procedure, its not working most of the time.


By OBDII i can read, but not write because of the LOCKED status.

i remove and connect ECU.


In my case i got message :

Error: 22 - No data from ECU
Cannot Check ECU Lock status.
ECU must be 100% working in order to read STATUS
If your ECU is damaged or not programmed, repair it with OBD or FRF flasher
Operation terminated by userError: 22 - No data from ECU

In CMD there is NO option to REPAIR by OBD

QUESTION :

What is FRF file ???
and where i can find a "FRF" file for my car ???

(the car is still start and running )

FRF or SGO are aslo called calibration/update file for VAG cars ! your ecu its use now "03L906023PA_8011" update flash file and are the latest update!

so maybe my file is "corrupt" and need a reflash because CMD says : "Cannot Check ECU Lock status"

any idea howto "unlock" my ECU ?

I don?t do one for some time but i can read the instrutions:

"Connect the power supply as shown in the picture.
Don't remove the pcb from the alluminium case.
Use the universal cable
Press "Identify" to Unlock the ECU
Only When requested from program:
GREEN alligator contact on RST,
BLACK alligator contact on BOOT,
WHITE BOOT1 not connected.connect the 2x 1Kohm resistors as in the picture"

I did use universal cable (without resistors), but still "error"

After this i open ecu, put resistors, boot + reset / even when CMD says "dont connect " (CMD did NOT request to do so)

i try again to identify, but still "error"

SGO files ( for ECUs using KWP2000 protocol)
FRF ODX and SOX files (for ECUs using UDS protocol)

Just flash it with ODIS-E or your flasher CMD
