You'll need a null modem cable and a PC or laptop with a com port (or get a usb to serial adapter).
You can get the firmware here...
Digital Kaos - Downloads - eurovox pvr ex5000_v1.1_2exe (12/07/08) (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=264)
Connect the eurovox to your PC using the null modem cable, run the .exe file, hit download and it will flash the new firmware to the box. :)
Do a scan when it reboots and that should be you.

I leave everything in ,,scart, null, coaxial,, and just pull the (plug ac240v)after putiing in standby. Then if i have any problems ,,I do a factory reset reinstall the firmware,,then download favs etc.
