I have a dreambox 500s and every month I pay for the decoding to continue..is there anyway I can do this myself? What would I need? Thanks

yes there is but its called cardsharing and it is not allowed on here just google cardsharing and you will find what your looking for

we are watching orbit and showtime and art. we pay each month to keep it unscrambled...it's in Egypt so may not be even legal so we'd like to do it ourselves. Would that be cardsharing?

Simple answer to your last question - Yeah .

ART, showtime are open with gamma files. You simply need to buy your own gamma card and programme it yourself each time keys change. Or you can continue CS like what you are doing now
