Hey there,

Been using WinKFP to update software on modules and yesterday I updated the engine software. Went for a drive today and the car feels down on power. Think I might have updated the wrong module and whipped my remap away.

Is there any way to do a roll back and get the remap back?

Simple answer, no. If you haven't saved the tune in the past you lost it. If you saved then flash it again to engine module.

525d uses EDC16 ECU which means you have to write the WHOLE flash BDM if you want to have the tuning file back since I think you have flashed the tune file via OBD.

I bought the car 5 months ago, already remapped. Bought the cable to do some re-coding and software updates with INPA and NCSExpert and did the software updates VIA the OBD cable.

Well that sucks! Looks like I'm off to get a remap again.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Sorry, but no automatic backup stored anywhere as far as i know, guess you will need to order a new remap from a trusted source.
