Hello , not really a decode problem , but as I couldn't find a suitable section here goes , Audi symphony 8l0035195 , When bench tested all is ok except no sound , does it need to be run through an amp before any sound of any sort will be produced ?

When you start the radio appear message BOSE?If yes need to an amplifier.
If not apear maybe the power amplifier IC is defect ,or vol cotrol ic or etc..
Tell us what voltage is between the speakers wires and GND?Must be about 5,5-6V.

Thanks for that , yes it does say "BOSE " at switch on , and when speaker wires attached I get crackles as they are being attached and nothing else , Getting 5-6v from speaker , does that mean its good to go ?

Yes the main power amplifier ic is ok.
but bose message mean that u need an amplifier which is supposed to be in the car.Maybe with change of dump can activate sound.
Read dump and post here.
