Hi Everyone,

I was trying to add key to a 2013 Impreza with SKP 900 and somehow the original working key got deleted. Now I have no working keys. Client towed car to dealer and they told him they cannot add any keys w/o master. They told him he needs to replace PCM, BIU and keys and told him it will be more than 3000$!

He towed the car back to his place. I removed the BIU and programmed the original key with my friends Tango onto 24C02. They car still doesn't start! The immo light goes off after ignition on, but comes on after about 5 seconds. (it's odd because if I use unprogrammed key, the immo light comes on right away. so it seems key is programmed.) When reading the dump with Tango again, it seems that the key is programmed into slot 1 on old dump, and I have have it programmed into slot 2 on new dump.)

The only code I have is on PCM: DTC P1571 REFERENCE CODE INCOMPATIBILITY. (Reference code incompatibility between body integrated unit and ECM)

Is there any way to match the two together?
I'm not sure what could be the problem, should I only program virgin transponder into BIU or is previous working key fine. Do I need more than two keys programmed at once? Is there a way to marry the IBU / Immo and PCM with SSMIII?

Any insight would greatly help:) Thank you in advance.

Eerr might be unhelpful

look in the milage incorrection section for

non start subaru after incorrection, worth a stalk and read.

meanwhile leave a bateey charger on & ignition on over an hour, see what happens

Dumps attached:

1. Original Read 24C02
2. Tango (Added original key + new key)
3. Read dump after trying to start car

Meat-Head, thanks for the link to that post. I'll try to get my hands on a SSM3 to see if I can now marry everything together.

I solved this issue..I programmed ecu and it worked like a charm. Seems like these have sync codes between the modules
