Did you manage to sort this vehicle out mate.? I've had an enquiry about an identical veh but haven't got a clue what's involved.

Any my info would be greatly appreciated pls.

Thanks. What about the physical side of it? What must be physically removed?

I know that the dpf has to be removed but what about the adblue side of things pls?

Deffinetly you must remove just the DPF cheramic, catalitic convertor must remain. For other side, for Ad-Blue don't touch anything.

What about sid208? The van in question is a 2015 (anybody know which ecu it's likely to have pls) I have spoken with a very good tuner friend of mine and he has not heard of a Sid 208 with adblue.

Could do with some concrete info on this if possible pls

Thanks

Thanks mate, will get reg tomorrow. Guy has said that he keeps getting a msg on dash saying that engine will shut down in 300 (or so) miles. Vehicle is still under warranty and has been in to fords 3 times but apparently they cannot solve the issue. He's pretty sure it's got adblue but I'll get reg of him tomorrow. Cheers

strange, sounds about right the message with Adblue, had a vw sharan same sort of thing,
anyway, info i get, 90% accurate normally, shows as EURO5

Model:

Ford Transit Custom

Variant:

2.2 TDCI EU5 155 bhp

Year:

2015

Fuel:

Diesel

Engine Size:

2198 ccm

ECU Type:

Siemens SID208

officialy from sept on Euro6 Engine,
conflicting info tho,
read on transit forum this:

Thanks for the reply.
Yeh, I had seen that the Transit has a modified 2.2, it uses a urea tank to pass the test. There is no mention of this being fitted to the Custom and if I where ordering one now I would want to know.
I have I think just found the answer myself. On SMMT . It says euro6 for commercial vehicles was from 2014. All cars euro6 from 1st September 2015. Then light commercial vehicles from September 2016. I had been looking for a while and this is the first time I had see the light commercials part written in.

with what you say, with dash warning etc, would say has later Euro6 Engine in, so prob ADBLUE

Thanks, so would this vehicle have the later sid209 then or is it possible to have adblue with the sid208?

That i have no idea on, sounds like rolled out newer euro 6 than said poss sid 209 so discount what my 90% prediction is,
On paper its older Euro5 and sid 208,
can`t you not get van in and have a look additive tank - be easier i think, dont think id personally take it on, allot of easier cars and vans out there

i have in my workshop transit 2.2 from 2014 with sid209, i have managet to turn off dpf and adblue in this ecu but i still get message on dash ( engine stop running in 10km ) all modules are ok no dtc at all, no limp mode. proboem with adblue has started when customer damaged urine tank and on empty tank he turned ignition on. i have sealed tank, put adblue to full and run procedure on ids - refilling adblue tank. form now on still error on dash and km's are counted down. i really dont know what to do. i think tere is a problem in eeprom but have no idea right now what to do. maybe someone have read sid209 before and could give me eeprom form it for testing.

correct adblue solution is with tank pump disconnected.put your file ori and mod here to see what you do .
