Motronic M5.9.2 Dump / DTC off

Hello

on my 98 new beetle with Motronic M5.9.2 HS V06 06A906018AB i?d like to get DTC off, but since i read MPPS can?t read the ECU, what can i do?
Do i need to short some Pins to read the softwareversion? IS it possible to disable DTC (2 or 3 Fault codes) with this ECU?
