I've recently purchased a transit connect mk2 2014 thats had a "bump" which has damaged the ECU, the board is cracked. ECU is a Continental SID807EVO DV61...BGD. Am I correct in thinking EEPROM swap provided I can find the same part number?

Follow up:
Purchased a virgin ECU from Ford. Tried to program the module using IDS (clone) - programming seemed to go well but ended with it saying module did not respond as expected. Now the PCM is nonresponsive. Is it bricked?
