Hello,
I have fault code 16785 P0401 exaust gas recirculation flow insufficient detected. Regarding this fault I have done a variety of things: cleaned egr valve, collector, cheked vacuum in egr and all line.
The fault code anyway appears after clearing and about 10-20 km driving.
An idea is EGR off, but I do not know if it will solve this problem?
Maybe you can recommend where looking for or what you suggest to do?
Regards

MAF show following:
air mas per stroke :440 mg
duty cycle :15.14 %
Sometimes values briefly changes to 505 mg and 96.4 % duty
In this car it is not DPF

This mean, that there is problem with the EGR flow... EGR is open, but the gases don't flow through it.
Something is clogged there...

I don't think so... EGR is clean, also throttle and intake manifold.
At first I thought that the EGR itself is dead, but making output test valve worked, also vacuum is not lost, strange..

When the actuator is 85%, the MAF must show around 300 mg/H
When the actuator is 15%, the MAF must show around 480 mg/H
So, make your conclusions...
Do you have Teamviewer on the diagn. computer... i would like to see with my eyes...

one of cunclusions is EGR remove, next .. no idea where to look and check.
When the actuator is 15%, the MAF must show around 480 mg/H ->> very close to my parameter , 2nd ... completely off...heah....:(

With software EGR closing you'll never get back P0401...
So, read the file from ECU and post it in this thread, someone will do the EGR of for sure.
BTW, unplug the MAF sensor and look if DTC will appear...

Yep, DTC appear from MAF...
Tomorrow I will read ECU file and then will post

Hm...
what will happened if you put a vacuum to the EGR actuator Directly?
The MAF must show around 200 mg at idle...
And another thing... there are a lot of opinions about the ~~~~ing EGR in the net... but believe me, if you disable it, only good things you can expect.
So, read the file...
Bye for now!

in bkd engines most common fault is the plastic box which have all vacuum lines. Check it with vacuum tool also with the tool check the egr if is ok with no leaks. But like bobo said removing is the best solution
