This is Blaupunkt unit 7612 300 522. When powered up I get on screen message Copy Nav CD to SD Card.

I know the SD card is good as I have tried it in another unit and also tried a different SD card in this unit.

I would appreciate some comments as to what may be wrong ...thank you

Maybe the socket has debris in it, clean out the SD socket with an air brush..

I replaced the complete front face and still have same message

Then the only thing it could be is the controller on the pcb, see if the mcu is hot to the touch..
