ok calling all brain boxes....

why is this happening, i have a used cas that i want to edit vin i have read ok with rosfar and edited the vin in two places, wrote back to cas,re read it and all seems ok, put on the car and found the vin had disappeared, re re-read again with rosfar but this time hard to read but once read there was no vin in file, tried everything what is going on, who can help me??

if vin is a prob would it be poss to swap the isn to the original cas i have both old cas and new cas dumps, is this poss? please help:bawling:

Can anyone tell me if the Isn code from cas is only 4 digits as I have 3b 61. Does this seem right ?

firstble dont read it with xprog will damage your flash file

I read with rosfar, but I'm not sure if it's the full contents

m8 you need to read 4096 bytes, and be careful to not lost your data!!!

i read CAS3 with x-prog clone no problem i just make sure that " READ Verify" is Not selected i just read without verify and so far no problems

m8 try to convert your file to bin format...
I dont have Rosfar, there for cant open correctly this format, only bin...

yep,, i bricked the cas not actually sure how mind, i have another cas and i think a backup flash but when i load it to second cas nothing on car at all, can anyone check my file see if it looks ok?

SOLVED

i had back up flash and eep got a second hand cas and programmed the data, corrected chksum on file from pd for vin number, all well. thanks dk members for all your help.:champions:
