I've definitely had my share of issues on Mitsubishi with the APP. It'll say successful programming even when it's not. I started only using OEM keys on these and that stopped my problems so far.

If a device like the CK100 can do something that the APP cannot, that's a huge fail on XTools part.

Same questions myself, I get tons of Mitsubishi and can't do a lot of the new ones. I personally own a Outlander 2015, been playing around with it(until I break it, I guess). When we fail to program a key I send it to one dude that makes most of those around here, saw that they use abrites the other day on a mirage 2015, so planning on getting one soon just for Mitsubishi, not that expensive comparted to other modules which are crazy expensive.

Dumb question time .... Bent pin in the 16 pin obd head on my ps80. Will obd head from other programmers be compatible such as x100 tool? I want to try to use my APP with the bluetooth adapter from the x100c or x100 pad or auto pro pad lite. I don't like the main cable too much.

In the meantime, I did a little experimenting, the x100 head works just fine. My x100 was dead anyway from a broken screen, at least I got to use the head. I suspect maxidas 708 will work also, will try it next. I worked the Denver Metro area from 88-91, by the way.

Hey Ray Ray I see a lot of questions about the differences between the ps80 ps90 and other variation of the tool but I couldn't find the differences between the $2000 AutoProPad on AKS and the x100 pad2 pro for $900 found on eBay and other sites it looks the same and looks like they have the same functions what is the advantage of the Autopropad over the x100 pad2 pro? Why so much of a price difference? Thanks.

Done with another tool in under a minute. APP has been letting me down this week...

We did a PCM replace on a 2005 Grand Cherokee yesterday. It will ask if you want to bypass the pin. You have to say no if you want to access the module replace functions. I was using the PS80L, but I don't think there is a difference on the menu, and it had the functions reversed. You have to select Replace WCM to edit the VIN in the PCM. if you select Replace PCM it says this is if you have replaced the WCM and need to match it to the PCM. just a note that might help someone out. Maybe a simple update to change those menus? This is the third or fourth PCM we've done. Fast easy money.

APP gives three options??? -14 and 14-(type 1 and 2). Did 14- type 1, asked for pin code. Tries type 2 and it failed. Went back to type one and it worked fine. ???

what's up with BMW? can anyone use ANY functions for BMW in the APP? I called AKS and they said it's a known issue that BMW don't work. those are deceptive sale tactics right there. you can't advertise a product does BMW and it doesn't even connect to BMWs anyone else experiencing the same ?

I'm currently looking specifically for a device which can support Subaru and Volvo. I see XTOOL now offers many devices - some with IMMO functions, some without. But it seems like all devices have the same IMMO functions and says it supports both car makers. Am I correct?

Second question is a bit more tricky - which one has the better support for the mentioned cars - XTOOL or Lonsdor. Can anybody compare?

Mitsubishi are usually very picky about only using OEM keys. Are you using that or aftermarket?

I've had the same issue. I only use OEM on Mitsubishi now.

Not about it being oem or not. Issue is what machine is generating the Mitsubishi 46 encryption. I get fake and oem 46 blank chips and convert them to 46 Mitsubishi. No issues when programming
I have seen fake mitsubishi keys with wrong encryption being sold.

Looks like there are two different systems on F150- American Proxy 15-19 is one system, Canadian F150 import is a different system. Failed to program Canadian import with new F-250/ Fusion proxy, which is the only one I could find that should have worked.

I was told that my service was not enough to bring the tool to the next level. They replace me with 10 new faces,3 month later those faces have left the house with nothing to offer. There trying to push Erik to produce new protocols but he is dead in the water without me and my tools,keys,dealer contact. Out of good faith I did get together with the engineer here in the USA and gave them 5 days of testing. A lot was done in those days, to correct problems with current software issue. I’m still working on my own to collect data for the next generation of tool that will be release next year.

Could you clarify this? You're saying that they kicked you out, but then - that you're collecting the data for "next generation tool". Will it be new generation of XTool, or upgrade, or new name tool altogether?
The reason I'm asking - I'm thinking to buy Autopropad Basic, but really confused what's going on - will there be any further development etc.

Development is still there but at a much slower pace. Rayx2 has the connection to all the vehicles. Xtool now has a much smaller selection of cars to test on as they don't have the Rayx2 hook up. ;-)

Can not help stupidly.. That why experience automotive Locksmith is needed to control future development. No tool can program Hyundai (genesis G70,G80,G90) system is offline so easy to capture. The same goes for Hyundai and Kia Models, I would start there. Bring new car market to the tool for 2020..

Some of he older ones you have to unhook tool, and then rotate keys turning on and off. I run into this with Crown vic/ Mercury Marquis around that vintage. Usually have to do 2 rotations of the keys on and of until both are programmed.

Well apparently this one was and also was not my fault

I bought h72 keys listed with 4c chip in a bundle of like 20 or something

Apparently they were h72 shells and somehow ended up with 4d chips in them instead of what they were supposed to

All of them were 4d........

Figured it out swapped in some 4c out of a toyota key I think and good to go they programmed in

2020 550 diesel Ford truck. Needed to add keys (2), APP said I had to be hooked to the internet. I don't recall having to do that before, for 2020, or I guess I haven't done that many 20's. Failed to get security verification 3 times in a row, but it came up correct the 4th time and key programmed. Added 2nd new key with on board program.
