Will Kess Program Merecedes ME9.7 over OBDII

I'm a bit confused I see on the listing that Kess can program Meredes ME9.7 Ecu over ODBII port is this true or can it only be done with Ktag or BDM tool

Think can ID and Write, Not READ !! as far as i can see,
so maybe you i.d find a matching original on this site, Mod and write to car

but using ID you can find a ORIG then Mod it and write, Simple
