VW GOLF 2006 POWER UP ON BENCH ?

I have a golf cluster on the bench it is dead in the car no powering up in the car
i need to test cluster on the bench i know the power connections pin 19 = neg and pin 1 = power
what i need to know is will it light up on the bench with just those connections or does it need other signals to light it up on the bench
the car is not near the me to test

1 - terminal 15 positive (12 volts)
2 - terminal 30, positive (12 volts)
19 - terminal 31, earth (ground)
13 - Can-H
12 - Can-L
