I recently paid for BMW auth for my device....
Can not read the two cars I tried so far through OBD....
2003 BMW 325 and 2006 BMW 335i....
I am curious if anyone has same device if there is something else you guys do the get the device to read.
I recently ordered there CAS cable....just to see if I can read BMW in maybe a different way so I can make keys.
I ordered AK90 as a backup but would really just like the VVDI2 BMW OBD Auth to work.

I'm not familiar with vvdi, but i think you need read cas with programmer like xprog or r270...but i did cas via obd with digimaster2, i needed to disconnect instrument cluster for reseting... The 2003 325 is e46 and i think it have EWS unit, not CAS...you can do it with xprog.

What fault does it come up when trying connect?

For the E46 just says no communication, I ordered there EWS/CAS Plus...that connects directly to the module see if I get better communication on E46 after that.
I also ordered AK90 as a backup to make keys for EWS cars.
I played with the system on a E90 today..I could read the CAS3+ system through OBD...but I had to press connect over and over again...until it finnaly read which makes me think something is interrupting communication.
My friend has JB4, Burger Tuning Kit...which is like a tuning box...he went to the settings to disable the system but I wonder if that unit is interrupting communication even when it is off.
Using ISTA...have no issues talking to the car...but no idea if CAS3+ is more sensitive.

I PM'd you back Galee, it said your storage was full so would not allow.
So EWS must always be removed...E46 not possible through OBD...I thought I could at least recode E46 modules through OBD or K line...guess not..
I ordered CAS Cable from xhorse made for VVDI2, I assume maybe PINS are already correct on this unit...
I guess when it comes in I can try....
I saw with AK90 took EWS has to be removed...but VVDI2 has nicer interface probably better to do everything on that unit from now on.
