What tools / flasher needed to do bmw f10 520d 2011

Hi as title asks, what tools needed to read the ecu, also is there any snags or complications that can arise or they a simple read and write ecu with correct tool?

Depent on the ecu fit to the car, usally Ktag ,X17, post last 7 digit of the vin let see what ecu you have there,

Hi Thanks for getting back, LAST 7 OF VIN IS, C833311, i have mpps v16 but i don think its able to do it, also can it done by obd or on the bench ?

Only genuine tools M8, forgot all other options.
Even with this tools is hi risky operation.

Good newest ktag not only o... make it easly and safe.
But if you play with cars always recommend using good tools only.
