View Full Version : Ford Ranger sid 208 - best tool to use

Anyone know if Fgtech works on this ECU,
its a 2013 Car, Sid208,
read some reports saying FGTECH doesnt work on Fords, although will work sid 208 other Makes other than FORD,
dont suppose new MPPS v18 covers ?
Also needs a Decent power supply Correct ?

Anyone info please and Cheers

l know its has tricore TC1797 same as edc17c10 and l know mmps reads that but if it has the patch to unprotected files l dont know
100% need 13.8 some even 15

Hoping someone has some good info, got one coming in soon, Got kess and dont think Kess covers on boot mode this ecu,
if need be have to get a K TAG again, to cover this ecu,

l have looked through all my stuff and only ktag shows it m8 in transdata , mpps/kess/fgtech checked, if you where around Birmingham you could borrow it

I did one of these vehicles approx 2 months ago using ktag. Worked perfectly. The hardest part of the job was removing the ecu from vehicle. It's located drivers side footwell and has security bolts holding it in. A right pain to remove!

i make a 5\6 cars with sid 208 and use x17 tool.

all orginal tool read ford with sid208 k-tag, x17, galetto

Because i cant afford master tool, and i tried slave tools and if dont get on with masters High prices and slow service i cant do allot,
very simple answer,
and clone does job just as good,
good enough ?

all org tool support ford sid208 but which support PEUGEOT BOXER SID 208 ???

PSA sid208 is not possible to read for this moment .

Original FGTech support Ford/Land Rover SID208/SID209 ECU unlock/read/write. PSA SID208 not supported at now.
