Hi all, a complete newbie here so please bare with me if this sounds like a stupid question.

I have a 2012 118D which the airbag module was flooded and would not respond to the bmw tools.

I bought a 2nd hand replacement module, the exact same one;
BOSCH 0 285 010 070
65.77 - 9184432-02
MRSZ5cd16
E89x-08-08-410
31918443202L

Once the unit was fitted I can talk to the ECU but I think this module was off a car with Headrest Restraint senors as I get errors on the diagnostics saying those sensors have failed. My car doesnt have those sensors.

Is there a way to switch that part off in the code or do I need to flash the ECU with the code I need for my specific car specs?

I dont know how to flash the ecu or what reader I need etc.

Thanks for any advice. UK MOT is due this week and the airbag light is on which is an instant fail :(
