how do i scan for new channels on dm800

hi,

I have a cable dm800. nabliosat black hole 0.6.

1, should I be trying a more up to date image?

2, how do i add new channels without disturbing the old ones?
I have tried to do it via service scan, manual and auto.
it fails.
