Toyota Corolla Verso Electronic Steering Wheel Lock REPLACE

Toyota corolla verso 2006 steering wheel lock broke 89998-0f-01. i want to ask if i replace the lock i will need to adapt or it will be plug and done? if it needs to adapt how do that?

Hi hazeins, did you solve this problem?
I have a 08 lexus ls460 that needs to replace the steering lock.
I installed the new (used) one and matched the ID but it won't do anything.

toyota steering lock ecu is quite difficult with some tools. you can replace and even mach synch with id code file it still not recognizing the file on the car. i have lot experience with this. the best solution is with obdstar pro or any obdstar key maker. they have programming access for steering lock ecu with id code direct obd. i did many
