u need more than the eprom to clear immo on a td5 has its stored in the clocks eprom and the bcu ecu

chiper

its not in the clocks on td5 but it is on tdci, and I think its just a simple rewire at the as10 unit or ecu , once you rewrite the eprom

....is it MSA11 ECU in it...if it is, I will sent you a procedure for reset code:)

do you mean MSB

I have both MSB (pre2002) and NNN (post 2002)

chiper

MSA11 is the early TDI land rovers

I need this for the later MEMS3 ecu (TD5)

tango

its stored in the bcu along with the clocks (for the disco td5 anyway) iv been thru this a few years ago
i have alot of files for td5's i also have 2 discovery td5's
along with the diagnostics equipment

edit ..... u have me wondering now lol
it might be the as10 and ecu ffs lol
been a long time i looked into the immo off on the td5
we ended up in the end having to use an add on board.

Me to m8, but you can swap clocks on Defender TD5 no problem, even run without them, you can get an ECU de im*o as I have seen one in the past that plugs into any TD5 , no need to learn sercurity with nanocom etc, also theres web sites that do it.

I think you have to write a file to the 93c66 eprom in the ecu and then mod circuit in ecu or at the as10 unit.

tango

iv seen the same ecu m8
in the settings screen on rovacom it states non robust has ecu status when normally it says robust

i have only worked on the disco's tho so not too sure on the defender.
but its been about 3 yrs since lol i last looked into it.
i have the rovacom and nanocom

tango

where u from chiper?

chiper
22nd September, 2009, 11:02 PM
I have the nanocom, I am from manchester, I wish I could have a second look at this ecu as I would read the eprom and lift the 29f200 and read that and look for wire mods, I mess about with a lot of defenders as we have a yard full for breaking and greenlaning.

oh yes, the defender td5 ecu allso say's robust.

i used to do alot with the td5 ecu's
a friend once had 1 of those ecus, if i remember right tho he did read both chips but still didnt make another cos some of the componants and wiring was diferant too

My brother knows a guy in doncaster who has one but its really hard to get him to let me whip it apart, I have seen an advert on ebay advertising files to de immo and in the list it does says DEFENDER-TD5-EEPROM-93C66-T but the guy wants ?399 for it.

IMMO OFF, ECU Virgin DataBase on eBay (end time 01-Oct-09 16:06:24 BST) (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/IMMO-OFF-ECU-Virgin-DataBase_W0QQitemZ320419221092QQcmdZViewItemQQptZU K_Diagnostic_Tools_Equipment?hash=item4a9a794e64&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14)

tango

that ebay link m8 dont show defender immo off
immo off files are at top then its ecu files
so the defender file is a virgin dump of the eeprom which is basicly from a new ecu b4 engine switch on (which i can give u that if u want it)
after engine start some bytes change etc and then it learns security

chiper
23rd September, 2009, 10:31 PM
thats no good then, can just do that with nanocom, I am just gonna have to get a look in one of these immo free ecu's

chiper
24th September, 2009, 03:26 PM
If you can post that file it could still be handy for me as we can just take a spare ecu when we are off roading to just put in any td5.

chears tango

if you need a virgin flash file I can suply if needed, It's handy for when an incorrect map has killed your ecu.

tango
24th September, 2009, 06:11 PM
virgin flash file?
do u mean any ecu flash file has in msb 170,171,180,181,330,340 etc etc ?
if so iv no need for them has i can make my own with rovacom and nanocom

chiper
24th September, 2009, 06:56 PM
no I mean if you kill you ecu by writing a bad file or you power drops half way through and you ecu will not wake up again your have to take out your flash chip then progam(willem) with the virgin file hot air your chip back in the ecu, your ecu will then wake up then you can make nesassery file with nanocom then reflash as normal, very usefull for all them bad ecu remapers out there.

chears for the file m8...

nice bit of kit labtool, my m8 uses the same, I use rework station and willem GQ4X, I am gonna build a BDM_MC32xxx with the gal chip, I got the BDM100 but not compatible with mems3.

Is Virgin_Dump.rar for the 93c66 in the NNN ecu or is it for the 93c46 in the MSB ecu

its for the nnn ecu
thought thats the 1 u wanted with talking about flashable ecus has the msb is otp only
have u got the schematics, pcb and hex for the bdm ?

Hi,
I'm Converting a 2000 MY TD5 Defender (Non Flash ECU) to a NN ECU (Flashable)
Does anybody have any maps std or upgraded as I'm told a "Std" NN Map will not work correctly with My engine / ecu arrangement.

Thanks

I search 100% immo off for MSB101330 (93C46) or for NNN500020 (93C66). On this time have blowed original ecu MSB and new ecu NNN. Write file from 27C1024 to 29F200, change 93C66 to 93C46, ecu work, fuel pump ca.10s work, orange MIL light, glow plug first time heated, light few second. Motor dont start, starter work (bridge on 10AS). Remote dont work.

You can't just swap EPROMS like that. You're better off putting the NNN back to stock and programming with Nanocom.

There is an immo off solution out there for this ECU, but you have as much chance of being ****ed by the pope as getting someone to share it with you.

hi tango

tried 2 dumps on 2 ecus car cranks but no starts

regards

tango
24th March, 2017, 02:58 PM
they have to be used with the original car you do know that dont you?
they have injector codes in those dumps too
also try this:
cut-off 34pin in black plug and
Serve ground on pin 10(black wire with orange stripe)
plugs(c0057) ECU ALARM placed
behind the instrument cluster-then the starter works

karanja
24th March, 2017, 03:05 PM
i cutted 34pin on harness only then when i try to start starter still crank the engine without ground any other wire

i think wire cutted is green orange

Regards

tango
25th March, 2017, 02:20 PM
and the other wire is behind clocks like i have posted above

my defender started half start with your dumps just after your advice to connect the black orange wire to ground car started half start

Here you go mate. Immo off as requested. This is tested and guaranteed by me as I do these ecus for standalone race buggies.
Pass in PM.
NOTE to the "Pass please" hangers on... Each eeprom is diffferent depending on make model and variant and also contains the injector codes for your enngine, So you could well lose functionality (eg cruise control etc) and MPG due to the incorrect injector codes.
So no! NO pass for you.
