have a passat vw that moisture damaged some areas of ecu, managed to get a good read, of all areas,
sourced same ecu identical 0281 number and 03L off ecu label,
Data made for clone, and now car not start and DTC codes,
im told because was a DSG Auto ecu - Damaged ecu, and ecu we buy is from a manual car,
NO start / Crank
codes are p0100, p0101, p0562, p2196, p2237, p2563
and u0302 incompatible with transmission control module

so if this is so, how do i know if i buy another ecu that its for a Auto DSG and not a manual gearbox,
anyone managed to convert data ok on these regardless of gear box?
and someone else said try and buy ecu same country as im in UK, Right hand drive, if i buy abroad Left hand drive, all factors,

Never had a headache like this on this ecu, and cloned 2 before no issues,
not getting much help either off the PRO`s
anyone ? thanks

only difference i can really see is hw: 03 on damaged ecu new ecu hw: 01

wheres the ident for gear type ?

I think that all acronyms must be identical My friend, Also hw. For the tprot you can not a clone, only immooff and put in motion with glow indicator and written safe always on (for the safe light get something to e2p)

no not safe on dash, there are other ways. had a golf mk6 same ecu before, 1 guy does immo off and SAFE on dash, another file guy then remakes file immo off no "safe" on dash, i understand not real clone is immo off,
hw and sw do match, so dont understand the difficulty of this

in live data can you see engine rpm , l wonder if autobox has different crack signal ? and all you have to do is change coding with vcds and change to manaul coding in ecu

you must write full to new ecu and flashing ecu to software sgo, then you have coding to dsg.

so what your saying is someone with VAS ODIS can recode to good state with SGO file ?
so leave as is ecu and get a capable tool that can write sgo ?
cheers

ok so we found a good matching ecu, hw sw, etc,
someone make file for transfer, i write mpc and eeprom as needed,
now when ecu in car we have crank and on dash "immobilizer Active" no start,
im told files good, so running out of ideas,
dash is original on car, not been changed,

anyone have a good idea where to go now, as need this car gone, been off road nearly 2 months now,
i post orig read and clone data here and made file that supposed to work but doesnt,

thanks

p.s is there a chance if customer takes to dealer now as is with cloned ecu and immo active on dash they can code in ?

You can use BGA. Saves a lot of time.

yes you can do immo off and remove dtc of immo , safe is problem whith the keys if you hve program keys you dont have safe in dash

@pulsar2000

Try this eep in new matching ecu with its original MPC.

Thanks appreciate your help. I resolved this along time ago, thanks anyway friend
