Sniff data using CN900 mini issue

Evening all,
Please could you advise me as i seem to be having an issue.

Nissan Micra 2004
Enter original key into mini & press read/copy.
I then press decode.
I now see a message telling me to sniff 5 times etc.
So i put cn mini next to ignition & switch ignition ON,i then wait say 3 seconds.
I see on cn mini screen something like "The 1st Data 382AA5901AFC412A"
I then switch ignition OFF,wait a second or two.
I then switch ignition ON but i do not see anything like "The 2nd data" etc etc

Please advise as this is my first 46 chip.

Micra 2004, D40 remote key use ONLY PCF7946, it cannot work with PCF7936.

Just an update & a poor one at that.

Went back to this 2004 Micra today.
Did the advised method as above but would only get the 1 lot of data,did this dont know how may times.
So i gave up on it.

So we have a Peugeot 206 but cant remember year.
Managed to get sniff for all 5 after a fashion.
I noticed that with keys out of ignition the dash lights stay on a few seconds ?
So when i put the mini near the ignition it collected say Data2 straight away but i still switched on then off etc,

So Data 1-5 collected.
Put key back in mini,
Message "dont move reading transponder"
Decoding 00,30,70 etc etc,
The SD2 error message.
Then Decoded Failed.

Can you advise why im having such a bad experience with this,anybody this Jason was there !!!!!

I only get first data, once it's displayed the first set I carry on and works every time.

Well today i had no luck on the Nissan.
So i have now tried it on a Peugeot 206 i think it was.
This was today's sequence.

STEP 1 Put original key in mini.
STEP 2 Press read/copy
STEP 3 Press decode.
I now see this message.

STEP 5 Press ok.
Now Straight away i see this message.

STEP 6 I put mini sniffer by ignition switch,turn ignition on & wait 3 seconds,switch ignition off.remove key,move mini away from ignition.
STEP 7 I put mini sniffer by ignition switch,turn ignition on & wait 3 seconds,switch ignition off.remove key,move mini away from ignition.
STEP 8 I put mini sniffer by ignition switch,turn ignition on & wait 3 seconds,switch ignition off.remove key,move mini away from ignition.
STEP 9 I put mini sniffer by ignition switch,turn ignition on & wait 3 seconds,switch ignition off.remove key,move mini away from ignition.
STEP 10 I put mini sniffer by ignition switch,turn ignition on & wait 3 seconds,switch ignition off.remove key,move mini away from ignition.
"Now at this point sometimes i see DATA 1st,Data 2nd,Data 3rd,Data 4th,Data 5th but sometimes just Data 1st.
STEP 11 Going with that i have sniffed Data 1,2,3,4,5 i then press Finish.
STEP 12 I put Original key into mini & press Decode.
A few times i am told to put original key into mini but i just did,so after say 3rd time of pressing ok i see Decode 00,30,70 etc etc Followed by Decode Failed.

Looking at my steps do you see anything i am doing wrong,i know it aint this hard to do but i think i am doing the same mistake each time but at what point is it ?

46 chip is 46 chip correct ?

no..... but the cloning chip will read as pcf7946 once copied so the car wont know the difference

No, you are not doing anything wrong. Sounds like its not reading the key properly, hence why it keeps asking to insert original key. Normal operation it asks once and thats it.

I've popped the cover off the mini & there is the coil winding, along with a wire that then also coils a bit around a ceramic rod.
Do you need photos ?

What if I remove this rod & replace it for a CN3 etc for sniffing, will this work ?

what is chosen in settings? local or sniffer. try to change it.
another thing cn900 is very bad tool total piece of s..t that's why you get message failed, chinese will tell you "please resolder sd card" but thats just crap tool.

Hi,
It is LOCAL,i changed it to TPX but no difference.
I can collect DATA every time but when i put original key in MINI the decode i see the screen go 00 01 02 etc etc,green light starts to flash but then green light solid and message Decode Failed.

What you suggest Handy Baby ?

I would seriously leave the hardware side alone because you really.. really don't understand it and will just make it worse.

By the look of it the firmware on these is buggy as hell... I would wait until a new firmware comes out and you read people on here saying it works then update and try again..... or try another car.

Handy baby is also a good option if you need something now.

I had to re-wrap the coil on mine. It would only read a key if in a perfect spot and wouldn't write any chips. Successfully did an id46 porsche cayman on to a cn3 last week, worked perfectly (that time)

I have ordered HB now.

This mini will read keys all day long BUT the issue is decoding the final process so ive never see the message "Please put in CN3 etc"

Please advise me as i have the big old CN unit.
Regards sniffing what would i use there TPX3,4,5 ?
