Hello guys.
I have experienced a bricked ECU due to wrong flash file. The ECU is Simtec 71.6 and after it was flashed with the wrong flash file it cannot be identified by Galletto 54 or Kess anymore.
Does anyone has an experience with these ECUs and recovering the flash? Any tool which can recover it? I heard that the only solution is to buy a new one and reprogram it to the car.

Fortunately these ECU's only resemble hybrid on the outside, but inside is regular PCB.
Inside is flash AM29F800 if memory serves me.
Unfortunately I didn't dump when I repaired the ECU.
Also eeprom is emulated in flash,so find the flash with the pincode so you can pair the ECU to your car,or read the pincode with some tool.

I hope I put you on the right track.

Regards,
Sima

I have the pincode because the car is from the first owner and he has it.

If you want to restore your ECU you will have to manually rewrite flash...
Open ECU,desolder, put in adapter and rewrite...
PIN is stored in the flash, and since you will rewrite pin will not be yours...
