A6 2009 ..problem...take load of from steering.

Hi i just looking for info.
A6 2009 key wont switch ignition on and steering is locked...message on dash"take load of from steering"
Is there any solution for that ir new steering colum.?
And any handy way of getting this work just to get to my work shop.
