Yes. I also have MPPS V16. I used it to read and write a PPD 1.1 without problems but on PPD1.5 i read that someones have some difficulties.

havnt read to much about kess havin problems if you have a good one , normally if it reads ok it will write ok , use a good power supply should me ok . l have one here but l dont think theres an obd pinout of this ecu, if there was l would try on bench for you , siemens are better to write to ,

kess is very good on older cars and so is mpps

Another reason that I'm in doubt on using KESS V2 is because on this particular car, it says it have EDC16U ECU instead of PPD 1.X

And should i select correct car but with that wrong ECU that it gives or should i select a different car but with corect ECU PPD 1.X ?

Hello guys! I have not yet tried to write or read the PPD 1.5 with KESS, but today i just bought an ECU 03G 906 018 FG PPD 1.5G and I want to read it by BDM and to see if it have the right SW. Until now i only read and write ECU vis OBD port and this is new to me. I have KTAG and a BDM frame with adapters (include Siemens adapter). Have any of you read this ECU by BDM? Thanks!
