Hi guys need some help on this. i have a 93c46en prom that i read as a fairchild and atmel. i can not figure out the hours in this dump. thanks to all421446421447

You never will reading it in 8 bit. Try 16 bit.

Does it still display properly with the original file?
Have you overwritten the chip?
What are you reading it with?
Are you reading it in circuit? If so, unsolder and try again.

This is what a good dump looks like.

it shows the hours at 4xxx.7 sorry cant remember exactly but it will not count. it just stays at the same number regardless of how long it runs. i took the chip off the board and read it as a FM93c46a (16). i am reading it with a minipro usb. I dont think i have overwritten it but is entirely possible before i started it had 8xxx.7 hours and the meter did run while using. Do i need to write the file you posted to it, test it then change to correct hours? i have included a pic of the board i just set the prom back down on it421451

Won't hurt to try that file I suppose, if it is displaying different hours now than originally then you are lost without a good original dump.

what i was afraid of do you have any idea what your dump came from as well do you suppose the overwite of the file could be the reason the hourmeter does not count now? thanks
