Hello DK,

Has anyone cleared the new 16 Civic with the RV850 by EEPROM edit? Or always need to write a factory file?

I just programmed one with CPT. Customer hasn't come with car yet but as soon as I test it I can post results.

Solution supplied by CPT doesn't work. Clears all SRS errors but more codes appear like EPS, stability control, etc. I believe file is overcleared.

I will try to clear manually.

Actually, the CPT file may work. That's the normal behavior... After you install the module, u need to initialize the seat, clear the steering DTC and do a reset on the traction. In my case, was all good after all the resets.

Question was if u can clear the crash w/o having to initialize the seat... And someone whispered that it CAN be done...... but there's price for everyting.....

Thanks angelo44. I cleared different and also worked. After some research and before this post I had to initialize almost everithing I just have issue with keyless entry but almost everything else is working ok. CPT hardware works OK.

So you are saying that you can clear crash for 2016 Civic by updating the Data Flash area? Or you are referring to clearing other DTCs?

You need to clear crash in the flash area and then DTC's. Need to do both.
