ford ids /vcm

guys i have a ids /vcm and software expired now when i load any software to the computer and try to run my vcm i get a expired and ask for a reg code is there anyway around this

and this isnt a china one i bought this right from helm which supplys ford dealers

it should load up then take you to the link to register if alls well then they will suply you with the activation code ?

well i had this for over a year and had a one year sub but they want 500 to re act it and was wondering is there some way around this so i dont have to dish out 500

hi guys, i have an original ids unit that wasnt working. i installed v62 and as it was being flashed my comp crashed and now i cant see it at all. i have tried all the vcmclear.exe tools and also installed all the patches. tried older version but still no joy and installed on a different pc in case i wasnt removingall the files. done everything i can think of besides using the pds software

does anyone know of a solution? i get an error when i used the vcmclear.exe of unable to load gateway software

hi upfrunt i woud like to say sare for spelling . i was given a emal from a frend at ford that showes how to put the code back into your vcm. it putes it back to its erignal stat when you got it. a gye on ebay charges to do this wat a ripof .i turned him in to ford doply they stop him from charging pepel . frend her on dk told me not to post it her ford may change the way it is don i was going to use it when i am going to go from ford to honda on my vcm in case it locks . dont know if it is safe to post it her. let me contack a moderater to ask him what to do mabe send it to your emal or pm it to you. i havent shared much do to just joined but finley have some thing to shar let me know here not by pmes if you woud be interested in a copy. agen sare for spelling have bad dyslexia hope you can red this

hi, i did this a few days ago but without using the run method. i used it with v62/63/v58 and none worked. the error i get is that its unable to load gateway software?? all i have on my device is light 2 flashing green and light 3 solid on red

is this a dead device or can it be saved??

all you can do is try, personally i think pc to vcm is the wrong way to go. does anyone who if they can be re-flashed from a pda? pda would have direct access to the vcm. when you install a vcm it adds the netwok adapters and one has an ip. i cant ping that ip as when i connect up the local area connection is also unplugged so how can the software/pc talk to the vcm? just thinking outside the box

did you do a clen boot and wipe all your old sofwar out i told you the klen tool dident work ford nows about it go to 59 58 and re format with just this versen and will definly work klen boot is the serkit ford my frend at ford sed ford knows we are trying to use the newer versends and wat is out ther to help us 58 is the trick 59 was told woud work to glad it got your 2 units working

i've tryed the workaround files posted. on some VCM it works on some did not. I've tried on original VCMs. but can not figure out why. I guess it is related to the files loaded on the VCM. I even tried to recover the tool files of older version, still no result.:banghead:

Does anyone know where I can get a US version of IDS, The one I have is for Euro vehicles. Downloaded from motorcraft and didn't ask for licence. I don't want to buy from ebay because it shows the IC4 as an approved interface and I have that, just need the soft. Thanks for the help.

i try to learn fip to pcm with clone vcm ids 74 it begin with learning it requiest 18 min ;4 min later i get message communication problem
