i have not test but heat up the ecu to 90 degree in oven. i drill everytime a hole its fast and work good but do over head and use vacuum cleaner for long time

L knife, like vindow cutter? I think in this case, because on photo 2 is scratched area near by silicone. Maybe add some heat for better cuting.

what did you do to open the ecu heating over 90 ?

just buy a tool with bench mode. totally worth compared to the risk opening these.
