Ford Mondeo 2003 speedometer issues!

I have this friend of mine that changed the ECU on this 2003 ford mondeo 2.0 petrol engine.After that the speedometer stopped working. From my info the VSS is wired to the ECU, and the ECU sends the info to the dash. I attach old ecu, new ecu and dashboard labels.Thanks!
