Hi
Can anyone direct me in to right stuff, please.
I am complete novice with attitude to learn. To start with, which soft and obd II cable is best to use to download / upload files from/to ECU ?

At the moment I will play with my Chrysler 300C CRD. My plan is to download complete file from my ECU as a safe backup, so I can upload back to ECU if needed.

Regards

Good tools are genuine Alientech KESS and KTAG. KESS works via OBD or bootmode, KTAG can read via BDM, bootmode and jtag. Then, for tuning you need genuine Alientech ECM titanium or Winols from EVC Germany. ECM titanium is very good but Winols is the best. Winols is very difficult for learning. Better start with ECM titanium and later buy additional Winols. Then, for learning remapping.....you need a loooooooooot of time...a lot of sleepless nights.. Not easy, but possible !!

BTW, KESS only load flash. If you want to make full backup, you need KTAG and you have to open ecu in most cases..
