Dear DK

I accidentally programmed a 5 button Nissan I-KEY instead of 4 button to Altima 2016 and i got a "i Key system error " message in dashboard.
After seeing this video from AD, i realized i wasn't supposed to program 5 button remote onto 4 button remote system,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLlXgzDLZRE

So I reprogrammed only the original customer key(4 button) but the message still doesnt go

Obviously the customer is very pissed off. Does anyone know how to take it off the message from dashboard.

Thanks in advance...Pls help me out on this

I've had this happen before. Hard battery reset should fix it.

Disconnect positive / negative terminals on battery, hold together for 30 seconds, reassemble, should be clear.

Let customer know, it's only a status code, which is why it will clear from a battery reset. No harm / no foul. No damage to car whatsoever. Car just requires a reset or a scan tool to get the code off the dash.
