I dont think you will be able to.
They have their own private protocol
message system like caterpillar and New
Holland.

manuals shows a 4 conectors to diagnosis terminal and RS232 CONECTOR to pc.any idea?

In jcb service manuals is included also diagnostic software but i don't know wich protocol use or need a original interface.

Sounds like something similar to Komatsu.
Just need the software and connect direct
via serial cable to machine;retrieve payload
data and error codes etc.

It used to be called VHMS ( vehicle health and
monitoring system - i think).
I havent seen the later versions ; only stuff that
came out around 2003.

Can purchase direct from komatsu if you are a fleet
owner.Not very expensive - few hundred bucks.

Is small program only about 10mb and quite limited.

I'm not fleet owner i own diesel engines repair and diagnostic shop and need some diagnostic tool for komatsu diesel engine.

Early komatsu engines where basically mechanical governed
and later electric governed fuel pumps.
Any codes for electric governed engines could be
retrieved from the monitor.
Procedures where in the workshop manuals for retrieving
this information.Some functions could be reprogrammed
by using binary inputs thru joystick controls etc.
Later komatsu's seem mostly to use cummins power packs,
which u retrieve engine specific info with insite.

I only familiar with machines in the 20-120 tonne size.

Have you approached your local dealer re purchasing the
required information /tools you need? Some of their literature
is reasonable unlike like their replacement parts.

What particular machines are you likely to require literature
for? Quote machine model and serial ; maybe i have somewhere .

So, I know from my previous service experience... At JCB loaders if is some old machine, is possible to connect direct to serial RS232 port trough a cable (wich I have but I don't have schematic...If I will have some time, I will draw a schematic), but in newer versions of loaders, you can connect to ECM only with special interface (similar to Caterpillar = DLA interface) and software form JCB, and USB (or serial) cable... I will search for some softwares but I don't know if I have something useful and if I'll find something, I will put here...

The software is called Service Master and is free on every JCB CD/DVD collection (on DVD 4 I supose), but you will need the DLA interface...

But, if you have a problem with a ECM from a JCB loader (not ZX ECU from gearbox) is possible to jump over it, very simple, everything will work perfect but you'll not have any information from machine (fuel level, temperatures, etc). If you want to bypass a ECM, PM me !

servicemaster 2 will only work with a usb dla not serial. a real bummer when you have to delete ver 1 before 2 will work and you only have a serial dla
