Hey group i have a 2013 dodge ram cluster with the 24c32 chip on the back side. The issue with the cluster is the tach does not work. so my plan is to get one from a junk yard and clone the cluster. will that work or is there more programming required? also if anyone has the power up that be awesome. if you need any pics or bin file please tell me and i will upload no problem.

They won't power up on the bench, you need to have it in the truck. Can you post a picture of the back of the circuit board?

Have you done a gauge sweep test to verify the problem is in the cluster? Hold the trip button and turn the key on, if the tach sweeps properly then the problem usually isn't in the cluster. Earlier models had tach problems easily fixed by reflowing the gauge driver IC.

The anti-theft is in the cluster by the way. Not sure if cloning the chip is good enough.

i do not have the vehicle. i bet if the vehicle will start without the cluster in it it will work. whats your thoughts?

Let us know how you make out. lol

Can't see anything in that tiny picture.

Edit: Did a little searching and apparently the 2013-2014 are plug and play, no programming necessary.

433612 is this on better?

Much better. If it is a reflow problem, it's IC1500 you need to look at. Under magnification GENTLY see if any legs move with a small pick.

Did you see my edit above?

yes clusters i read your edit. appreciate it. So if this cluster is not repairable i just get a used cluster and clone it correct?

Hopefully, but there is some talk of options so it's anybody's guess.

I can't find any info on Mitchell for anything newer than 2010, it's like they stopped making them. lol

Not even any listing for 2010 up on Revbase either, so can't even look at the wiring.

Some guys have a trick up their sleeves for certain make model cant recall but they copy info from one cluster to another, then using old cluster still in vehicle start the vehicle, remove cluster and swap with new one while still running some kind of trick that makes it accept new cluster, I dont know if that will work on it or not tho. Someone will come along that is a pro in this model and let you know. Could be BS for all I know or completely useless in your case.

Oh wait hould have read all threads first.............There goes that Brainfart.exe again lol

we will see how it works in the next few days.

THAT WAS IN PREVIOUS MODELS now if you do that it will be damaged.
For you to succeed you must program it online original scanner or original advi.

Good to know so you just copied everything from 1 EEPROM To The Other?
