Hi all,
I have a 2006 Hino 185, which has a very very slow acceleration in gear. When in neutral or park it revs fine. As soon as you put it in drive and press on the accelerator, there is almost no movement for almost 10 seconds. The engine does not even rev / acellerate....once it slowly slowly starts going, it drives fine until you come to a full stop. Scanned the truck and there are no codes.
Have replaced the brake pedal switch, have replaced the suction control valve.
-EGR on this vehicle is blocked with a blanking plate. Not aware of any ECU mods.
The thought here is that the vehicle is in running in limp mode for some reason and put into drive. We are really stuck with the vehicle and was hoping that someone here might be able to give us an idea or a suggested solution would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
tima

If you believe part of engines is not a problem, limp home mode maybe usually caused cluch disc runs out or cluch slip, first check the clutch wear indicator.
