View Full Version : Repair ecu from Maverick

Hi guys, i need some help here. Car is Ford Maverick 3.0 with 6 cylinder year 2003. One ignition driver not work. I am open ecu and found one transistor (i believe its transistor) on that line its bad (because it show me different characteristics in comparing with another working one). Anyone know what is this part and with what part to replace brokene one ? On transistor write this: 523 55 03GM and producer is ON.
Please help with this.

transistors can only be properly tested off the board. but its possible that 1 of them may be faulty, they give power to coil and spark plugs

I am unsolder them and tested. I need info what is the full name of this transistor and not how to check him.

You have the full name. It's 5503GM made by Fairchild mosfet transistor. Enter in eBay Fairchild 5503GM and you get what you want...

Yes, that am i found, but its not available in my country, only China. And i can not find data about this transistor. I need info about this transistor, so i can found appropriate replacement.

A Ford wing tiger's ECU


There are 6PCS 5503GM ignition driver chips


1PCS 74022PC ignition drive coil


2PCS 0.04 ohm high-power resistors, is a protective effect


5503GM, is its name, the IC is easy to buy, of course, if you time is very urgent, you can use 07096, V3040D to replace it, they are the same use
