Hello Guys

I hope there is someone out there with a universal dash programmer who can help me with this one.
I have one of these tools and need to correct the mileage on a Peugeot 206, 2004 registration.
I have done lots of peugeot 206 before with this tool, but only up to the year of 2001 which are easy because you only need to do the dash. But after 2002 i know that you also have to do the BSI too.
I know which Eeprom in the BSI that i need to program, but in my universal dash programmer user manual there are no instructions of how to do it with this tool.
I know i can do it with my UPA USB Programmer, but i also want to be able to do it with my universal dash programmer as this is good for jobs on the road where you dont have access to a PC, or your laptops gone flat!

Is there anyone who has done one of these peugeots with the universal dash programmer before who can explain the procedure.

Any help is will be very much appreciated on this one.

Cheers Lads;)

The versions.. are only Different locations in the dump mate... It is easier to do if you just read the 95160... And look for the Complient of the miles .. then simply FF .... them ..can repeated 2,3,or four times ..All are in a similar location...

So i dont have to make mileage in the 95160 the same as dash. Just virginize the 95160?

Is it ok to do these in circuit with a clip? Or will it not read? Or maybe damage it. Only asking because bit quicker just to chuck the clip on. I have UPA USB prog

Cheers for your help mate. This is the first one ive done where you have to do Bsi too. Only really do early focus fiesta and Peugeots which are pretty easy, especially with the uni dash prog. And the walk through PDF user manuals.

PremierD is right
Difference is just in dump location.
You dont have to virginise whole BSI, but just the milage location. seek up in Tachosoft.
Never program SPI in cicuit on a BSi, sometimes data will be corrupted.

Thanks for all your help.

Whats the best method of removing the needles on the 206 cluster? they are pretty tough buggers!

TTM......(The two teaspoon) method works well mate...

And DO NOT...try to read 95160 in circuit.. If you corrupt it ..it no go anywhere ..unless you put it on a wagon....Personally I never read Any eeproms in circuit ..it takes seconds to remove them..why take the chance mate...

Can you tell if a Eeprom is corrupted by looking at the dump?

just check if Login and chassisnr are OK. then it will be probably ok. Except if some checksums are wrong.
but if Login and chassisnr is ok, then dump is 99,99% ok
if you screwed it up ,it wont be a problem too. I know repair methods, without the need of virgin dump.

The login and chassis numbers are ok and also mileage was correct too before i put it to 0km.
If i have any problems i will let you know. And is good to know that you know repair methods too!
Thanks for your help mate.;)
