Got this from another forum thanks to kredda
" Hi guys, it's bad news for the moment as nintendo have released firmware 4.2 and it's big. It deletes all homebrew channels and blocks bannerbomb and all other hacks.

I quote this from qj

Heads up to the Wii homebrew community! Nintendo has released a new system menu update for the Nintendo Wii, and by the look of things, this one's not gonna be pretty.

According to reports, almost everything is blocked by the new system menu including Bannerbomb, BootMii, the Homebrew Channel and all version of cIOS. The recently released Indiana Pwns works but you cannot do much with it. The new update now also uses IOS70. All the versions of BC, MIOS and the chain store are also updated.

We strongly suggest not to update your Wii through Nintendo if you still want to enjoy your homebrews.

Don't say you weren't warned."

i wouldnt update to 4.2 if i was u m8
i did on my wii with cyclowiz and it deleted homebrew channel

the new bannerbomb allowed me to put hbc back on but thats it if i try to install anything else it just freezes because the new update deletes ios249 then replaces it with a blank stub :(
and for the live of me i cant get rid of it to replace it with the right ios :(

Here is another reason to be aware of is that Nintendo have admitied that the 4.2 update has bricked a number of wii's which they will replace IF..... they have not been modded.......... BUMMER
