alfa 159 edc16c39 + MPPS v16

Hello,

as i can see in list of cars from MPPS v16 the EDC16C39 ecu is missing from Alfa 159.

So what ecu option should i choose to read and write ecu? EDC16C9 or opel EDC16C39?

I don't understand why MPPS doesn't have in the car list the correct ECU for Alfa 159 1.9 JTDm. Here is only EDC16C9. But this type of ecu isn't fitted in any Alfa 159 JTDm. The correct one is EDC16C39

ok so then how can i read it correctly?
I sow that many have used mpps to read this ecu from Alfa 159 1.9 JTDm but no one said which ecu type they choose.

Look BOSCH HW number... Find it is C8 or C39.

i think this is HW number 0281013138 so i'm sure is EDC16C39
maybe is a mistke in the mpps software..no EDC16C9 exists in Alfa 159 JTDM

So, use the driver C9 and if the file is 2mb - go ahead... at your own risk...
Use the Brera C39 driver and compare the files...
And finally, don't use Opel drivers for Alfa!!!

there is only bug with name on the list, edc16c9 from mpps will read proper edc16c39 file

iI think, read as c9 and c39(brera) then compare files or load here, we tell you which one is good. If you trying to read, its no problem, but if you try to write and have bad ecu chosen, you mayby brick the ecu...

For this type ecu for me is better BDM100, they can full backup off ecu.. if you never brick up your ecu, you dont know how much fun is this job making :D

i once bricked my Samsung Galaxy 2 :) i had to bulid a jig for those who know what that is :)
I don't wanted to buy BDM because i had to remove the ECU

weloo: that's what i suspected too. That there is a bug with the name. EDC16C9 is not fitted in any Alfa 159 JTDm.

well i read my ecu without any problems!

Alfa 159 JTDm EDC16C39 = EDC16C9 in MPPS V16
