View Full Version : Miracle A5 issues

I am having issues with the cutting on my Miracle A5... I have tried several things and nothing seems to be resolving the issues.

As seen in the attached images; the grove isn't being cut out properly on the tip of the HU100 key and a similar issue on the side part of a HU101 key.

Same issues occur when I decode and manually put in bitting. Currently finishing every key off with a manual cutter which obviously isn't ideal.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

What speed is it set to? Single-cut?

did you try cutting it twice or cut on the pda device through Bluetooth . I had problem with hu66 not cutting in adaptor and going too deep in the jaws , now use pda for hu66

Is the cutter size set to 2mm?

The cutter size is set to 2mm.

I don't have the PDA but I believe you can use a laptop via Bluetooth?? I cannot get this to work for the life of me, bloody pain in the ass!

The machine is set to single cut.

If you change cutting speed to steel, and z-pitch to 3, cutter set to 2.0 it still cuts the same as picture?

Just gone through all settings to check it against what you've said. Tried again, still same problem.

May be a case that I'll need to ring Lockdecoders... just don't want to pay ?60 for support or whatever if it was something straight forward, or me being silly, haha.

Okay, so I've changed a 2 week old cutter for a brand new one and that has fixed the issue with not cutting the groove etc properly... how I don't know..........

However, it still isn't right.. one thing after another!!! Lol.

Any solution to this problem yet i wonder.
Have exactly same problem and issues .
Have tried with PDA new cutter etc .
Funny thing is i cut a HU101 to decoded lock and key worked .
Recut same key in A9P and key still worked but it took a lot off of key that was cut cut in A5 .

I first noticed this problem on Fiesta,s and Focus sometimes key wouldnt even go in lock or would unlock but not lock?.
Recut same keys on Quattro/or A9p to same code and all worked ok after .

Thinking on upgrade board but would like to know whats gone wrong .

A Quick update on this thread .
Took machine out of van Cleaned it all pushed back Clamp towrds the back of machine (power not on).
Done clamp origin with a Hon66 blank.
Change to cutter and done tool change function .
Entered Bitting for HU101 and Hu100 A5 cut both keys perfectley and decoded Perfect on A9p too .

The thing i did differently from using 12v in van was using the Ac adaptor that came with it via mains .

Hope this may help someone else to get a decent key cut .
Will keep you updated when i fit it back in Van and try it via AC adapter via Inverter.

May I ask a related question please.
Just purchased a used A5
Rear case has a hole for the power connection & ive also drilled a hole to make use of the USB connection.
Now I can use with laptop if needed which is great.

I have a Ipaq PDA & installed the Codemaster software but when I select PCM5 on the PDA the A5 isn’t found.

Can you advise if there is a usb dongle fitted inside the case.
I see a Bluetooth pcb inside the case but don’t understand why the A5 isn’t found / connection.

Thanks.

Didn't Lockdecoders have some spare part program.
And trade in for this machine? At least several years ago. Upgrade to A6/A9.

If anything is wrong. I should think the have the parts, knowledge and directly contact to the manufacturer.
How to solve problems with the machine.

But maybe its cheaper just to purchase a new machine.
Instead of expensive spare parts. And maybe have someone, to servicing the machine as well.

I contacted them but they advise PDA software isnt available anymore ???
That isnt the issue.
PDA software is installed.
When PCM5 software does bluetooth search it can find my mobile & headphones but not A5
So A5 isnt seen in the bluetooth search.

As a side note i see there was a bluetooth dongle for A5 but there is nowhere on pcb for it to even plug into.

So there is a small pcb bluetooth board so maybe something gone down on it

A5 is great
