Additive system has a separate ecu. This also checks the fuel cap. Follow the wiring from the fuel cap sensor, they are known to suffer damage from rubbing.
Filling up also needs resetting of counters in the additive ecu. You need a scanner for that task.
What's the fault code number you read?

This fault has every 2nd 307. When MIL is off you don?t need to solve it. When MIL is on search for another problem. Also help to tank full..... etc it?s Peugeot...

The fuel additive has a separate tank inside the trunk on the right side which needs to be refilled aproximately every 50.000 kilometers. Its purpose is for regenerating the particle filter.Refill and do adaptation with a scantool. Good luck

Aditive tank is on the left - driver?side.... 120 000km and more depending on type.
Write down all faults.
