Anybody done a Valet key for an Audi Q5 (2009 - 2014) before?
I have done plenty of the normal keys but the customer is after the plastic key which gets inserted into the holder.

I can't find any record of somebody doing one or what transponder to use.

Cheers

I have one somewhere. A second hand one.
I think I remember it was ID48.
I am not able to find right now.
So can not verify it.

Hello.
(EMCE159) no need to say stupid, this is not good from you, simply you can give your idea same as (reks13) or same other without use bad words, you can explain without use any ...., here we all came to DK to help for free.
1) OK about me, i sale this product which i load above the pic, and i programmed on Audi bcm2 but i never open the plastic to see the kind of the transponder, so i thinking it was 48 cause its small plastic key,now i don't have emergency key with transponder to try what kind transponder in it, i just have complete mounting key. so i order now soon i will test, and i believe above my friends which write its true = pcf7945ac.

Sorry my friend if you felt offended. Amigokola corrected your mistake in post#4, but you were giving advice as you were sure what you were talking about. Without even checking. Anyway nothing personal, just idea of id 48 working in bcm was very weird for me. Regards

Hello.
i see you edited in post #15, but no need to edit, Amigokola he know me very well about my experience in Vag, and i explain in my post #13. so no body loos any payment if i write about (transponder 48), (Fallen) our friend he open this post and look he take the story simply without negative comments. me too i don't have nothing personally with you we are here to help each other and you can see how may times i help here from 2011 till know with positive result. i write here cause this key done with me by AVDI, thinking inside transponder same as q7 = transponder 8E SOKYMAT. cause i use this plastic keys to audi q7 putting inside it 8E transponder to ready adapt. so now i see inside it carbon transponder same as (46) which our friend show us in his pic (Weasel3).

You know it's entirely possible to point out a mistake, offer a correction and at same time not insult....

I got mine from Kap, not sure if they still do them.

Yeah for me it doesn't even make sense to program them as I have stock of OEM smart keys which I unlock by myself but I have customer who's asking me to program his valet platic, he's got it cut but it's without chip.

I already told him it's impossible to get that chip and even though I would find somewhere, it will cost same money as for new OEM fully functional key... But I just asked out of curiosity. Thanks

I don't trust chinese keys for Audi BCM2... A heard people had a lot of issues with it so I'd better stick with OEM unlocked which I have for around 30-40 usd. Quality always at 1st place.

95% or more are 868MHz and I buy from a guy who's got RF signal tester so he check every single one before shipping.
