Anybody know them really well?

I would like to do a few projects in future involving mp9 ecu's,need to know a few things:

How to read the 28 pin Eprom.

Is there a flash replacement for the 28pin eprom?

Are the 32pin eproms a Many time programmable chip?

Are the maps easy to understand like many of the early motronics?

Are the checksum patches available?

Thanks

Can't tell you much but I do know the original 32 pin is OTP...must replace ...the 27sf512 is a reprogramable chip...you can read and write the new ones with minipro and adapter..the 28 pin ones are 87c510 if I'm correct and need to be uv erased and minipro can't write these..87c510 can be replaced by 27c512 with an adapter..that's about all I can tell you..

Thanks, this is very good info for me so far.
I have minipro, but i know from before that i couldnt read the 87c chip.
Perhaps there must be a replacement for it.

*edit*

Sorry i misread your post ;)

So i could use 27c512 or 27sf512 as a replacement for either 32 or 28 pin?

Sorry I probably wrote that a bit deurmekaar! 32 pin replacement is a 27sf512 32 pin which is a reprogramable chip.... for the 28 pin 87c510 it can either be uv erased or replaced with a 28 pin 27c512 using an adapter.
I think the easiest option would be a new chip or erase original 1 with uv light!

No problem mate:)

I recently found a replacement that i use for m27c512 28pin,u can use a 27sf512 28 pin,i use these alot on opel and ford with no issues, they are MTP and easy to obtain,i have stacks of m27c chips but i only use them for a final tune,i dont quite trust the MTP chips as much as the m27c when it comes to data retention.
I used to use uv lamp alot but now only now and then
